The big Tech World event of the Chinese manufacturer, Lenovo took place in San Francisco, CA, USA earlier this month. The company announced a whole bunch of new impressive devices that will heat up the competition on the tech arena. The new generation Motorola Moto X flagships are official. They have new names, though – Lenovo Moto Z and the Moto Z Force.

The smartphones feature high-end specs and capabilities. Starting with the screens, both flagships arrive with a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with Quad HD resolution. The fascinate with premium designs and ultra-thin bodies – 5.2mm for the Moto Z and 7mm for the Moto Z Force. Something interesting (and a bit disappointing) about the specs of the two smartphones is the lack of a headphone jack. Lenovo is packing a USB Type-C to 3.5mm adapter in the boxes of the phones to make up for it. On the front panels lie the physical button that hosts the fingerprint reader. Both smartphones have a water-repellant coating.

The Lenovo Moto Z has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip under the hood with 4GB RAM. The native memory of the flagship is with two options – 32GB and 64GB for users who prefer more storage. In both variants the memory is expandable via microSD cards to the whooping amount of 2T. The Moto Z is the more low-end variant of the couple. It packs a 2600mAh battery in its gut. The primary shooter of the smartphone is with a resolution of 13MP with OIS and etc. Just for a comparison, the Moto Z Force sports a 3500mAh cell and features a 21MP rear camera.

Even more special features…

The software that is running on the flagships out-of-the-box is Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. The Lenovo Moto Z Force boasts the same Shatter Shield tech that is provided in its predecessor, the Moto X Force.

One of the most impressive things about the new flagships is the support to the MotoMods – modular accessories that assure a more fulfilling and customized experience for users. The accessories work by attaching to the rear panels through magnets.

The launching of the Lenovo Moto Z and Moto Z Force will be announced soon. They will hit the markets in summer and fall. The US carrier Verizon Wireless will offer the smartphones. Lenovo will be selling a contract-free version of the Moto Z this fall. Do you like the new flagships of the company?
