OnePlus is launching the new flagship, OnePlus 3 for $399
The much anticipated OnePlus 3 is now official. The company held a special VR event for the debut of the smartphone. Few hours before the event, the online retailer Amazon spilled the beans about the flagship and revealed details about the specs and the capabilities of the new device. Is the OnePlus 3 going to join arena of the high-end smartphones today that feature top-notch specs? The answer is YES.
The OnePlus 3 debuts in the tech world with a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 pixels and a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on top of it. The new smartphone stands-out with a premium unibody aluminum panel with a premium feel. The hardware configuration that “runs the show” in OnePlus 3 includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip and Kryo processor cores. There are 6GB RAM to back up the performance of the phone. The storage that users will enjoy with the device is 64GB by default, non-expandable. The Android 6.1 Marshmallow OS powers the new flagship with OxygenOS on top of it.
The duo cameras and a fingerprint reader
The two cameras of the flagship are a 16MP primary rear camera with Sony IMX298 sensor, AF, LED flash and the capabilities to record 4K video, with OIS and abundance of other features, and an 8MP camera on the front panel. Speaking of a front panel, just below the screen of the phone lies a physical button (the only one in OnePlus 3) that functions as a fingerprint sensor as well. The battery hiding in the belly of the flagship has a capacity of 3000mAh. The colors available for the smartphone are Soft Gold and Graphite. The big news around the launching of the OnePlus 3 is that customers don’t need invitations to buy it.
