New entry-level smartphone on the horizon – Xolo Prime is released
Can you get a decent budget smartphone running on Android 5.0 Lollipop? Xolo has just released its newest entry-level handset Xolo Prime that costs less than $100 and comes at retail price of $89 (Rs 5699 in local currency).
As expected the specs of the smartphone are not high-end but overall the Xolo Prime has a lot to offer to Android users who are looking for an affordable and capable device. It is packed with a 4.5-inch IPS screen, 854 x 480p resolution. The hardware configuration includes a quad-core processor ticking at 1.3GHz with MediaTek MT6582M chip and Mali 400 MP GPU for the graphics. The 1GB RAM helps for the decent performance of the smartphone. Xolo Prime comes with 8GB memory on board. It supports microSD cards for adding more storage.
The pre-installed operating system is the biggest advantage of Xolo Prime. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop which means that for less than 100 bucks you can get a handset working on the latest software update of Google. On the rear side of the new budget device stands a 5MP camera with LED flash and the capabilities to record Full HD. The secondary snapper is VGA camera on front. In terms of battery, Xolo Prime works with a 1800mAh cell.
It is a dual-SIM device that comes in several color options, like red, blue, black and gold. The connectivity capabilities of Xolo Prime include support for Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G and Bluetooth.
