The new world’s thinnest smartphone is official – Vivo X5 Max
Vivo gave the clue that it is releasing the new thinnest smartphone in the tech world and just as promised the phone Vivo X5 Max was announced on 10th of December. The new slimmest handset sports a compact panel that is only 4.75mm thick. It fascinates with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED glass, 1080p resolution. The X5 Max is powered by silicon with eight cores with a chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 615.
The configuration of the hardware includes quad cores Cortex-A53 set at 1.7GHz and quad cores Cortex-A53 clocked at 1GHz. The chip is with 64-bit architecture paired with 2GB RAM. The native memory in the phone is 16GB. The software running on the Vivo X5 Max is Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Vivo has customized the platform with the user interface Funtouch OS 2.0. The new thinnest smartphone features a rear primary camera with a resolution of 13MP and Sony IMX214 sensor and LED flash. The camera for selfies and video calls can be found on front and it has a resolution of 5MP.
One of the advantages of Vivo X5 Max before its competitors with very slim panels like Oppo R5 is the provided 3.5mm headphone jack and Hi-Fi 2.0 speakers. The phone has dual-SIM capabilities. It supports the usual connectivity features for its category – GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G and 4G LTE. Among the extra features assured in Vivo X5 Max is the Karaoke app that is pre-installed on the device. It uses Yamaha YSS-205X that delivers excellent quality thanks to the Hi-Fi 2.0. The launch date of the new elegant handset is 22nd of December. It costs CNY 2998 (around $485).
