UMI Rome is a new phablet with 3GB RAM and octa-core CPU
Affordable and attractive, the new smartphone of the Chinese manufacturer UMI was announced in China a few days ago. It bears the name UMI Rome. The phone costs less than $100. For this modest price you are getting a 5.5-incher with AMOLED display with 2.5 Curved glass and a resolution of 720p.
The body of the newcomer is made of metal. The phablet is powered by an octa-core CPU with MediaTek MT6753 with 64-bit, ticking at 1.3GHz. It is launched with 3GB RAM on board. The configuration includes ARM Mali T-720 GPU. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. In terms of storage the UMI Rome boasts 16GB. It is expandable via microSD cards. On the back of the new handset is placed a 13MP camera with Sony IMX179 sensor and dual-LED flash. The secondary camera is with 2MP resolution.
The battery integrated in the UMI Rome is with a capacity of 2500mAh. According to the official data provided from UMI, the battery can keep the phone running for 6 to 8 days in normal use. The connectivity possibilities of the phablet include support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS and LTE. It is a dual-SIM device. It is launched in a gold color.
