Gionee Marathon M5 Plus and Marathon M5 Enjoy enter the tech arena
Gionee likes to surprise its users. The recent rumors about the plans of the company revealed that it is ready to announce a new smartphone. The nice surprise for all the fans of Gionee is not one, but two new smartphones that made their official debut. Say ‘Hello’ to Gionee Marathon M5 Plus and the Marathon M5 Enjoy.
The first new phablet is Gionee Marathon M5 Plus. It draws attention with its 6-inch Full HD AMOLED screen with 2.5D glass. The processor that powers the large-sized smartphone is an octa-core CPU with MediaTek MT6735 chip with 64-bit architecture ticking at 1.3GHz. It has 3GB RAM. On board are provided 64GB of internal memory. Expansion is possible via microSD cards. In terms of cameras, the new phablet is outfitted with a 13MP camera on the back plate with a LED flash. The snapper for video calls and selfies is with 5MP resolution. The back side of the Marathon M5 Plus is provided with a fingerprint scanner.
The large-sized smartphone is powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop. Gionee has customized it with Amigo OS. The battery equipped with the phablet is with a capacity of 5020mAh. Earlier this year the company launched the impressive Gionee Marathon M5 packed with dual batteries with total capacity of 6020mAh. The new phablet has a slightly smaller cell but it can keep the device running for 829 hours on standby. It boasts Dual Charging chips for very fast charging of the huge battery. The second new device that joins the phablets of Gionee is Marathon M5 Enjoy. It comes with a 5.5-inch TFT HD screen. The processor of the handset is with four cores and MediaTek MT6735 chip. Just like its big brother, the Marathon M5 Enjoy runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It boasts 3GB RAM and 16GB storage (expandable).
The main camera of the device is an 8MP sensor with LED flash. The secondary camera is a 5MP sensor. It supports 4G LTE connectivity. The battery of the handset is with a capacity of 5000mAh. It is a dual-SIM model. Gionee Marathon M5 Enjoy is getting launched on Christmas for CNY 1999 (around $310). The phablet is “dressed” in a shell in golden color.
