Rumors have it that Sony Xperia Z5 is coming in September with Snapdragon 820 under the hood
If you are a fan of Sony’s flagships you are certainly looking forward to the announcement of the next high-end smartphone of the Japanese manufacturer. Sony has the tradition for releasing two flagships each year. Sony Xperia Z4 (Sony Xperia Z3+ for international markets) was unveiled earlier this year which means that unveiling of the Sony Xperia Z5 is due in few months.
The newest rumors about the debut of the next high-end handset suggest that it is coming in September. Along with the new flagship, Sony is planning to introduce Sony Xperia Z5 Compact and Sony Xperia Z5 Ultra. The upcoming Xperia Z5 is expected to be an improved variant of its predecessor. Rumors have it that under the hood of the next generation Xperia Z is Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset paired with 4GB storage. One of the new features in the flagship is a fingerprint recognition tech. The appearance of the Xperia Z5 is similar to the designs of its older siblings. The battery that will power the handset is with a capacity of 4500mAh.
In terms of camera, Sony Xperia Z5 is coming with the newest Sony Exmor RS IMX230 based CMOS sensor with 20.5MP resolution that has the capabilities to capture 4K video. It supports HDR and 21 million pixels. The debut of the Xperia Z5 is scheduled for September in Japan, if rumors turn out to be true.
