Sharp unveiled the mid-ranger slate Sharp Aquos Famiredo Tablet
The Japanese manufacturer Sharp presented the Sharp Aquos Famiredo Tablet. It sports a 15.6-inch display, 768 x 1366p resolution. The slate is packed in a partly water- and dust-resistant panel with IPX5/7 certificate. The design of the tablet includes relatively wide bezels which gives it a bit of chunky look. The large-sized slate weighs 1.9 kilos.
Under the hood of Sharp Aquos Famiredo Tablet is ticking a quad-core processor 1.6GHz with Rockchip 3188 chipset. The equipped RAM in the device is 1GB while the native memory is 8GB. It can be expanded via microSD cards. It is a bit disappointing that the Aquos Famiredo Tablet runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and not Lollipop.
The supported connectivity features of the tablet include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It is packed with a TV tuner. The battery tucked under the hood of the device provides up to 5 hours in normal usage. Sharp Aquos Famiredo Tablet is getting launched in black and white. It is appropriate for indoor usage, classrooms etc where the big display will be very useful. The price of the new slate is $745 without a contract. The niche of large-sized tablets is relatively new. Rumors have it that Samsung is working on a 18+ inch model to be launched in the coming months.
