The new Tizen OS-powered smartphone is Samsung Z3
The Korean mobile giant Samsung introduced the successor of its first Tizen OS-powered smartphone, Samsung Z1, dubbed Samsung Z3 in India. Just like its older brother, the new addition of Samsung is a low-end device that will be released on developing markets at affordable price. In terms of specs it reminds the capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Perhaps this is the reason why the company has chosen that name for the new Tizen-powered phone. Samsung Z3 is equipped with a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 720p. On the inside of the phone is working a processor with four cores clocked at 1.3GHz with Spreadtrum chip. It is coupled with 1GB of RAM. There are 8GB native storage in the device accompanied by a slot for microSD cards. The memory can be expanded with up to 128GB. Instead of Android, the platform pre-installed on Samsung Z3 is the latest variant of the Samsung’s OS, Tizen OS v2.3.
Among the special features of the software are the Ultra Data Saving mode. The main battery of the new smartphone is a rear sensor with a resolution of 8MP. The secondary camera is with 5MP and 120° wide selfie mode. Samsung Z3 works with a 2600mAh battery. The panel of the entry-level phone reminds to the case of Z1 but it also seems Galaxy Note 5-inspired with curved edges and premium look. The connectivity capabilities of the new handset include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G. 4G LTE is Not supported by this model. It is a dual-SIM device.
The price of Samsung Z3 is INR 8500 (around $130). It is getting released on 21st of October. The color variants for the device are silver, gold and black.
