Samsung W2016 is the new player on the arena of modern flip phones. The smartphone was officially unveiled by the Korean manufacturer in China. The company is still keeping the mystery around the full list of specs for the new clamshell phone. Thanks to the rumor mill and some leaks from the Chinese TENAA, we can share details about the model. The rumored name of the device was Samsung Galaxy Golden 3. We will wait and see whether the company will release another clamshell phone under this name.
Samsung W2016 features dual 3.9-inch Super AMOLED displays with a resolution of 768 x 1280p. The new device sports an appealing design with metal frame and glass backplate. On the second screen are displayed some notifications and features for an easy access. The display on the inside is used with the keyboard. Samsung W2016 works with octa-core processor with the in-house chip Exynos 7420. It is coupled with 3GB RAM. The flip phone boasts 64GB of internal memory. It is powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The main camera equipped with the clamshell phone is with a resolution of 16MP and a LED flash. It has a 5MP camera for video chats and selfies. The battery of the smartphone is with a capacity of 2000mAh. Samsung W2016 supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G and 4G LTE. It is ready to hit the markets adorned in two colors – golden and silver. The launch date and the price are yet to be announced.
