A new leak confirms Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge and Galaxy S7 edge+
Just in few weeks from now is beginning the second big event in the tech world for this year, the MWC 2016 in Barcelona. One of the hottest rumors about the event is the announcement of the next generation flagships of Samsung. The gossips and speculations about the specs and the features of the new high-end smartphones of the Korean manufacturer are describing very powerful and attractive phablets coming soon. Thanks to the legendary leakster @evleaks (Evan Blass), the rumors for the upcoming trio Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge and Galaxy S7 edge+ are getting confirmed.
The twit of @evleaks revealed promotional material that includes all three devices. The leak does not shed more details on the specs of the upcoming devices. Previous leaks suggest that the Galaxy S7 is outfitted with a 5.1-inch display, while Galaxy S7 edge boasts a 5.5-inch screen, both with a resolution of 1440 x 2560p.
The expectations for the Galaxy S7 edge+ suggest that it will be larger than 5.5-inch. In terms of hardware, the Galaxy S7 is expected to work with an octa-core processor under the hood. There are rumors that it is outfitted with Exynos 8 Octa 8890 chip or Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. The RAM included in the configuration is 4GB while the storage is either 32GB or 64GB. Rumors have it that the Galaxy S7 supports microSD cards apart from its predecessor, the Galaxy S6 that doesn’t have this option. On the back of the upcoming flagship stands a 12MP camera. The secondary camera is a sensor with 5MP resolution. The battery of Samsung Galaxy S7 is with a capacity of 3000mAh. The Galaxy S7 edge is expected to arrive with similar specs. The battery will be a larger cell with 3600mAh.
