New leak gives a glimpse at the smartwatch with round face Samsung Gear A
Samsung is among the pioneers on the market of smartwatches. The Korean manufacturer has one of the richest lines of timepieces that come in different sizes, designs and capabilities. Few months ago the first rumors for an alleged smartwatch of Samsung with round face evoked the curiosity of users. It has the codename Orbis. The official name of the gadget is expected to be Samsung Gear A. Rumors have it that Orbis will be released in two variants. One of the smartwatches will support only Bluetooth connectivity while the other will be 3G-enabled with capabilities to make calls. Both models Gear A will support Wi-Fi.
The Samsung Gear S smartwatch is known for its Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity. It seems that the upcoming timepiece will be more advanced in terms of specs. The model numbers of the two variants are SM-R720 (Bluetooth) and SM-R730 (3G-enabled). According to some gossips there will be SM-R732 purposed for South Korea only, however it is still unknown what specs the smartwatch will feature. Back in March the leaks about Gear A (Orbis) revealed that it will be a premium device with elegant exterior and abundance of capabilities for fulfilling user experience.
Recent rumors suggest that the smartwatch is powered by Exynos 7420 (octa-core) chip. If gossips turn out to be true, the Gear A might be able to provide a longer battery life than its predecessors – around 4-5 days before it needs recharging. Are you curious how does the Orbis timepiece look like? Thanks to fellows from SamMobile we can share alleged render photos of the model coming from the designer xsplash.
