Samsung Galaxy S6 Active is listed in the Bluetooth SIG
The newly released flagship Samsung Galaxy S6 is getting a new version soon, according to a leak from the Bluetooth SIG database. The SM-G890A is listed in the entry. Rumors have it that this is the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active for the US carrier AT&T. It is the successor of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active released last year.
Thanks to previous leaks for the model, it is known that the Samsung Galaxy Active is expected to go official next month. It is outfitted with a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440p. It is provided with the same processor as the original flagship with Exynos 7420 chip and 3GB RAM. It features a 16MP main snapper on the back and a secondary camera on the front side with 5MP resolution.
The differences between the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 active are in the dimensions – the ladder is expected to be slightly larger. One of the reasons for the bigger panel is the big cell fitted in the Galaxy S6 Active – a 3500mAh cell. It is rumored to have a microSD slot on board. The upcoming smartphone is water- and dust-resistant. It is still unknown when the smartphone will make its official debut. The Bluetooth SIG certification is a hint that we should expect the announcement of the Galaxy S6 Active sooner than later.
