Samsung officially introduced Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 in China
Samsung Galaxy J5 and its bigger sibling Galaxy J7 appeared in several leaks in the last weeks that shed more details on the specs and the designs of the new handsets. Today the Korean manufacturer officially unveiled in China the new couple of affordable mid-rangers. Both smartphones boast similar specs and capabilities.
Samsung Galaxy J5 is “dressed” in 142 x 73 x 8.5mm panel with metal frame. It is a 5-incher with a resolution of 720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by quad-core silicon clocked at 1.2GHz with Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chip. Among the specs that are the same in both devices are: the provided amount of 1.5GB RAM on board with 16B storage by default. The smartphones run on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. The primary snapper on the rear panel of the models is a 13MP sensor with LED flash. The secondary camera of both smartphones is with 5MP and LED flash. Samsung proudly pints that those are the first models of the company that boast LED flash on the front-facing snapper. The battery of Galaxy J5 is a 2600mAh cell. Both smartphones are LTE-enabled and support dual-SIM. ‘
Samsung Galaxy J7 sports a 5.5-inch 720p glass. The CPU that works in the gut of the device is octa-core with Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip. The smartphone measures 152.2 x 79.1 x 7.9mm. It has a 3000mAh battery under the hood. Other than that the Galaxy J7 is the same as its smaller sibling.
Both smartphones are getting released in China at prices: CNY 1798 (around $290) for Galaxy J7, and CNY 1398 (around $225) for the Galaxy J5. The color versions of the handsets include gold, black and white.
