Samsung Galaxy Folder is a mid-ranged flip phone
LG recently presented the new flip phone LG Gentle and its biggest rival Samsung did not wait long before it announced a new clamshell smartphone as well. Samsung Galaxy Folder is a low-end Android-powered device. It is equipped with a 3.8-inch WVGA display. The hardware stuffed in the new flip phone is a quad-core CPU set at 1.2GHz and 1.5GB RAM. It supports microSD cards which enable expansion of the 8GB storage.
The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The rear camera of Galaxy Folder is a 8MP sensor while the front-facing snapper is with 2MP. The flip phone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G and it is 4G LTE-enabled. Samsung Galaxy Folder works with a 1800mAh battery.
Samsung has provided a large physical keyboard for the comfort of users. The company has added dedicated buttons for the social apps and the camera. Samsung Galaxy Folder will go for sells in its home country South Korea next month. The price of the flip phone is around $256 in local currency. Samsung will offer the model in black and white. The clamshell smartphones were very popular amongst users some years ago, but even today they sell well on some markets, especially across Asia. The retro-looking design combined with the advantages of a mid-ranged smartphone is what attracts users towards the flip phones. Are the clamshell phones your cup of tea?
