Samsung Galaxy A9 is unveiled in China, sports a 6-inch display
Samsung officially presented the large-sized phablet Samsung Galaxy A9 in China. The large handset “starred” in a few leaks in the last weeks. It is the new addition to the Galaxy A line with a premium design and decent specs. The chassis of the Galaxy A9 is made of metal and glass. The phablet boasts a 6-inch AMOLED glass with FullHD resolution. The attractive design of the device features razor thin side bezels. The silicon outfitted with the large-sized smartphone is with Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chip with eight cores of the processor. It works in a configuration with 3GB RAM. The provided internal memory in the phone is 32GB. Users have the option to expand it via microSD cards.
The phablet arrives with Android 5.1 Lollipop running out-of-the-box. The two cameras that are included in the “package” of specs and features are a 13MP sensor on the back with LED flash, OIS and a wide f/1.9 aperture, and an 8MP camera set on the front side. The battery of the 6-incher is with a capacity of 4000mAh. The home button of the smartphone keeps a fingerprint sensor. The connectivity possibilities of the plus-sized model include support for NFC, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G LTE.
The device supports dual-SIM. Samsung Galaxy A9 will be available in Gold, Pink and White colors. The launch date for the phablet is not announced yet. The price also remains a mystery for now. Galaxy A9 is the largest smartphone of the growing family of Galaxy A. It might be more modest in terms of specs compared to the latest flagships on the market.
