Samsung Galaxy A7 is the new addition of the premium line of Samsung, packed in metal panel
Update: It seems that Samsung has made a mistake when presenting the new smartphone. Initially the specs sheet revealed that the resolution of the screen of Galaxy A7 is 720p. The correction has been made and now the specs of the smartphone include Full HD (1920×1080) pixels resolution.
Some of the most appealing smartphones released in 2014 are outfitted with metal panels with elegant designs. Samsung is renown in the digit world for powerful and capable flagships packed in plastic shells. Not long ago the manufacturer introduced a new line of smartphones that come in metal panels, packed with mid-range capabilities. Samsung Galaxy A3 and Samsung Galaxy A5 were officially unveiled and released in the end of 2014. The revealing of Samsung Galaxy A7 was scheduled for the first weeks of 2015.
Samsung kept its word and in just days after the end of CES 2015 the company presented the third member of the handsets with premium shells, Galaxy A7. It is armored with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED glass,
720p resolution 1080p. The dimensions of the premium device are: 151 x 76.2 x 6.3 mm/ 141 grams weight. The elegant device is the slimmest in the Galaxy A line so far.
The handset is getting launched in two variants with different hardware packed in them. The single-SIM device works with an octa-core CPU, Exynos 5430 chip with 32-bit. The dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy A7 hides an octa-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip under the hood, with 64-bit architecture. Both versions of the mid-ranger boast 2GB RAM and 16GB native memory. Users can add microSD cards. Samsung unveiled the new smartphone running on Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box customized with TouchWiz UI. Most of users expect that Android 5.0 Lollipop will be rolling-out to the model not long after it hits the markets.
On the back side of the new Galaxy A addition is provided a 13MP sensor with LED flash, 1080p video. Above the screen lies a 5MP snapper. Samsung has tucked a 2600mAh battery under the hood of Galaxy A7. The device supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC. Rumors have it that Samsung Galaxy A7 will available for purchase in Q1 2015. The price tag of the phone should be around $600. White, gold and dark blue are the color options for the model.
