Samsung presented the flip-phone Samsung G9198 in China
The biggest event of Samsung this summer was the unveiling of the phablet flagships Galaxy S6 edge Plus and Galaxy Note5. Both devices debuted on 13th of August in NYC. Just a few days after their announcement the Korean manufacturer presented a new model smartphone – the flip phone 领世旗舰Ⅲ, which we will call Samsung G9198 (its codename). The handset sports a dual-screen design. It is outfitted with two 3.9-inch Super AMOLED screens with 768p resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on top.
The performance of the Samsung G9198 is excellent thanks to the hexa-core CPU with Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chip under the hood. The model is provided with 2GB RAM and 16GB of native memory (expandable). It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. The new dual-screen flip phone is armed with a 16MP primary rear camera with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. The front panel is adorned by a 5MP camera sensor with f/1.9 aperture. For the record – the duo cameras equipped in the new flip phone seem to be the same as the snappers equipped in the flagships Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge and the newly announced Galaxy Note5.
The battery of the extraordinary Samsung G9198 is with a capacity of 2020mAh. The device supports dual-SIM. The connectivity capabilities of the smartphone include 4G LTE. The flip phone was unveiled in China and it will probably go for sells in the country later this year. Hopefully Samsung will bring it at the upcoming IFA 2015 in Berlin next month.
