Huawei Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus enter the tech arena armored with premium specs

The Nova series of the Chinese manufacturer, Huawei is relatively young but it already succeeds in drawing attention towards the premium mid-rangers it has to offer. The company officially revealed the latest two additions to the line, the Huawei Nova 2 and Huawei Nova 2 Plus. The newcomers have borrowed a lot of the design of the latest flagship, the Huawei P10. The special features of the models are the dual rear cameras for absolutely impressive pictures taken by mid-rangers. Both new smartphones sport similar specs. They both feature very thin metal bodies with nicely rounded edges.

The smaller phone of the duo is the Huawei Nova 2. It sports a 5-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution. On the inside is provides HiSillicon Kirin 659 chip ticking at 2.36GHz and 4GB RAM. There are 64GB of expandable native storage provided in Nova 2. On the back of the phone lies its most special feature – the dual camera 12MP & 8MP sensors with wide angles and optical zoom. The selfie camera of the device features the whooping 20MP resolution. There is a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel of the handset. The battery of the Nova 2 is with a capacity of 2950mAh.

The larger model in the couple is the Huawei Nova 2 Plus. It sports the same specs as the smaller device except the size of the display – 5.5-inc, the storage – 128GB, and the larger battery – a 3340mAh cell. Both new smartphones are running on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The release date of the newcomers is 16th of June. The price of the Nova 2 is $364 off-contract while the Nova 2 Plus costs $422 retail price.
