Gionee presented the new battery phone, the Gionee M2017 outfitted with a 7000mAh battery
The battery life seems to be one of the biggest issues for the powerful flagships. It is almost certain that a phone packed with features struggles to keep running for more than a day. Therefore more and more companies are releasing the so called “battery phones” working with enormous batteries and decent specs. Say Hello to the newest addition of the Chinese manufacturer, Gionee dubbed the Gionee M2017.
It debuted in the last days of 2016 and it is coming for sell in the first weeks of 2017 in China. In terms of design, the Gionee M2017 impresses at first glance. The phone has “premium” written all over its appearance. It is made of metal with an extraordinary finish on the back. Just like the Samsung Note 7, the M2017 sports a curved display on the sides. It arrives with a 5.7-inch AMOLED screen with Quad HD resolution. The processor ticking in the gut of the flagship is an octa-core CPU with Snapdragon 653 chip clocked at 1.96GHz.
The 6GB RAM are definitely helping for the great performance of the device. Storage-wise, the Gionee M2017 features 128GB flash storage. The cameras department doesn’t disappoint with the combo of a dual-camera module on the rear panel – 13mpx + 12mpx, and an 8MP selfie camera. The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The connectivity capabilities of the phone include USB Type-C port and support for 4G LTE Cat.7.
Now, about the primary feature of the M2017 – it packs a 7000mAh battery that promises a long battery life for the smartphone. The price of the new phone is on the higher side. It costs around $1000 for the regular model and the whooping $2500 fort the Gionee M2017 sporting alligator-leather back cover.
