LG introduced its latest flagship LG G4 in New York and London
No more rumors, no more leaks, the much anticipated event has happened – LG officially unveiled its newest flagship and successor of LG G3, the LG G4. The company chose two of the capitals of the world for the announcement of the new star. Two events took place in London and New York simultaneously. The abundance of leaks and gossips about the high-end smartphone unveiled some of the mystery about the appearance and the capabilities of the flagship. The presentation of the LG G4 was focused on three main characteristics of the device – its attractive design, its impressive display and its primary camera.
Not long ago the rumored mill delivered render photos of the smartphone where it was posing for the camera adorned with genuine leather rear plate. LG revealed that the leather used for the flagship is with the so called vegetable tanning. The result is luxury leather that is used to only 10% of the products made from leather in the world. If you prefer the good ol’ polycarbonate for the backplate of your phone, you’ll be happy to know that LG is releasing some of the models with a removable back plate made from plastic. It boasts unique pattern that makes the smartphone recognizable and attractive. The panel of LG G4 is slightly curved – 3000mm radius.
The screen is a Quantum LCD with 5.5-inch diagonal and QHD resolution. The great advantage of the display according to LG is the exceptional accuracy. Some of the numbers that you might like to know are: 50% higher contrast compared to the last year’s flagship, as well as 20% wider color reproduction and 25% improvement in brightness. Moving towards the internals of the LG G4, it definitely has a lot to offer for its users. The processor is hexa-core. It consists of four cores Cortex-A53 and two cores Cortex-A57 with 64-bit architecture and Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chip. It is armed with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. LG G4 supports microSD cards for adding storage. Software-wise the new gladiator in the mobile arena runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with UX 4.0.
One of the key features of the G4 is its primary camera. It is packed with a 16MP sensor on the back with 1/2.6-inch diagonal and f1.8 lens. While all those specs for most of us mean just words… the provided OIS is an advantage that doesn’t need explanation. It works over three axis which is a significant improvement of the two-axes system of the camera of LG G3. The software that is running the camera is an app fully packed with features and capabilities, like ISO settings, manual shutter speed and histogram etc. In addition the primary camera can capture photos in panorama with 104MP. The secondary snapper is also impressive for a front-facing camera. It is a 8MP sensor. Both cameras are capable of recording 2160p video.
The juice-provider of LG G4 is a 3000mAh battery. The device supports wireless charging. LG is releasing the LG G4 this week in South Korea. The price for the model is still unknown. Did LG G4 meet your expectations? Share with us.
