Three new wearable devices are announced, the Pebble 2, Pebble Time 2 and Pebble Core
Pebble’s had a busy week with the unveiling of three new devices on Kickstarter. The Pebble 2, Pebble Time 2 and Pebble Core officially entered the tech arena.
While the first two devices are smartwatches, the Pebble Core is presented as a runner’s companion and it appears to be an absolutely new wearable tech. It arrives with 4GB of storage. The battery of the device is able to keep it running for up to 5.5 hours. The Pebble Core supports GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and wireless charging. It runs on Android 5.0 OS. Pebble has big plans for the device and with the Kickstarter’s campaign, the company is encouraging developers to expand its possibilities with more tweaks, like the possibility to control smart home accessories and etc.
The Pebble 2 is the next generation smartwatches of the company that is succeeding the Pebble timepiece. The new device is with low-end capabilities. It is packed with an e-paper black screen. The rest of the features equipped with the new smartwatch include a microphone, a heart rate monitor, sleep tracking and etc. The battery of the Pebble 2 has a capacity to provide it with around seven days of work before it needs recharging. The new smartwatch is water resistant.
The sibling of the timepiece is the Pebble Time 2. It is slightly more advanced than the original smartwatch. The Time 2 features a 53% larger screen than the low-end timepiece. It also comes with an e-paper display. Some of the specs of the Time 2 are the same as the Pebble 2, like a heart rate monitor and etc. The Pebble Time 2 is dressed in a stainless steel body. Its cell assures up to 10 days of battery life.
So when and where we can get those new devices? The Pebble 2 will be offered in a few color options, such as Aqua, White, Lime, Black and Flame. The first customers will have the chance to buy it for $99. The regular price is expected to be $129. Shipping time – Sept 2016.
The Pebble Time 2 will be offered in Gold, Silver and Black. The early price of the timepiece is $179 while the regular costs will be $199. Shipping will happen in Nov 2016.
The wearable tech Pebble Core will be available in black and white. The first price of the device is $69 while the regular price of the Pebble Core is $99. It is getting shipped early in 2017.
