The original YotaPhone went for sells in India in October 2014 at entering price of Rs. 23499 (around $382). The retailer that offers the phone exclusively is Flipkart. In the last months the price of the handset was slashed a few times. The newest deal for the YotaPhone offers the phone for only Rs. 12999 ($211) off-contract. The original smartphone is available for purchase in different markets across the world for over a year now. Its most impressive features are the two displays located on the rear and the face panels of the phone.
The front screen is LCD, with 720p resolution and 4.3-inch diagonal. On the back side of the device you will find an e-ink display with 4.3-inch diagonal and a resolution of 480 x 640p. YotaPhone is an Android-based smartphone that runs on 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. The hardware ticking in the heart of the phone is a dual-core CPU set at 1.7GHz with Snapdragon 400 chip included in the configuration and 2GB for the decent performance of the phone. The handset brings 32GB storage by default. Except the e-ink screen, there is a 13MP camera on the back panel. The snapper for video calls is relatively modest 1MP sensor on the front. The YotaPhone supports 4G LTE. It works with a 1800mAh battery.
The new flagship of the company, the YotaPhone 2 is also officially released; however it is still unknown when the model will be available to buy in India. Stay tuned.
