Oppo made the hint that it will unveil the Oppo R9 on March 17
Oppo is about to introduce its new flagship, the much anticipated Oppo R9 this month. The big date for the debut of the model is 17th of March when the Chinese manufacturer will hold a special event for its new star. The upcoming phablet is the successor of the Oppo R7 handsets released last year. The new R9 is promising to bring more advanced specs than its predecessors and as attractive appearance as the current flagships. In fact, some of the leaks and rumors about the upcoming large-sized phone suggest that it will look a bit like the iPhone 6S Plus.
The screen of the unannounced phablet is with 6-inch and QHD resolution. The hardware configuration that powers the device includes the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip paired with either 3GB RAM or 4GB. Oppo might release two versions of the phablet. The software pre-installed on the Oppo R9 is, of course, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. In terms of internal memory, the flagship is outfitted with 64GB.
Other specs of the device include a 21MP primary camera set on the rear panel. The secondary camera will wow the selfie-fans with its 13MP resolution and abundance of capabilities to deliver awesome selfies. The battery of the 6-incher is with a capacity of 3700mAh. One of the key specs of the device is expected to be the support for Super VOOC fast charging. The company recently presented the new tech at MWC 2016. It can fully recharge a 2500mAh cell for only 15 min. In 5 min, the battery would be charged around 45% which is definitely impressive. Stay tuned for more rumors and gossips about the upcoming 6-inched flagship.
