The new flagship OnePlus 3T lands on the markets in the US just 6 months after the release of the OnePlus 3
OnePlus 3 arrived in the beginning of the summer this year and now the Chinese OEM is presenting the successor of the flagship. The OnePlus 3T became official a few days ago. The news from today is that the handset is already released in the US. In Europe it is coming on 28th of November.
The high-end smartphone sports an appealing design with an all-metal panel and clean silhouette. The phone arrives with a 5.5-inch Full HD Optic AMOLED display. The OnePlus 3T is promising an excellent performance thanks to its powerful hardware. It works with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset, an upgrade from the Snapdragon 820 that powers the older flagship. The OS pre-installed on the flagship is Android 6.0 Marshmallow. No Android 7.0 unfortunately, but an update is expected. As always, the new addition of OnePlus is running on the customized UI OxygenOS. 6GB RAM are added by default. There are two possibilities for native memory in the phone – either 64GB or 128GB. The flagship does not support microSD cards.
One of the improvements in the new phone compared to the original model is the front-facing camera. The OnePlus 3T arrives with a 16MP sensor which is with double more pixels compared to the OnePlus 3’s 8MP snapper. It has LED flash, OIS and phase detection autofocus among other features. The back primary camera is the same 16MP camera as the rear camera of the older device with Samsung 3P8SP sensor and abundance of capabilities. The capacity of the battery here is 3400mAh which is bumped up from the 3000mAh cell included in the predecessor. The prices of the flagship start from $439 for the 64GB variant, and $479 for the 128GB device. It will be available worldwide in two colors – Soft Gold and Gunmetal Gray.
