The new flagship OnePlus 2 enters the tech arena
The rumors and leaks about the successor of the flagship OnePlus One became some of the most discussed topics in the tech world, especially in the last months. The first high-end smartphone of the company has a lot to offer to users, therefore the expectations towards the OnePlus 2 (OnePlus Two) are very high. OnePlus 2 sports an outstanding design with magnesium panel and buttons made of metal. It measures 151.8 x 74.9 x 9.85 mm in size, and 175 grams of weight. The screen of the new flagship is with 5.5-inch diagonal and a resolution of 1080p. In the belly of the smartphone is provided Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip octa-core processor paired with 4GB RAM and the impressive amount 64GB storage by default. The software running on the handset is a customized version of Android. Two cameras are integrated in the OnePlus 2. The primary snapper is a rear sensor with 13MP resolution, OIS, 1.3 µm pixels, laser focus and the capabilities to record 4K video. It supports slow-motion at 120fps. The front-facing camera is with a resolution of 5MP. The smartphone has a fingerprint sensor. Users can save up to five fingerprints on it. OnePlus 2 is LTE-enabled and supports all the connectivity features expected in a flagship. The battery hidden under the hood is a 3300mAh cell. The new handset has dual-nanoSIM functionality.
OnePlus is using a similar approach for selling the new flagship as it did with the OnePlus One. Users will need an invite in order to get it. This time around the manufacturer is promising to assure an easier access to the invites. The launching of the OnePlus 2 is 11th of August. The model packed with 16GB storage costs $329. The flagship equipped with 64GB memory can be purchased for $389.
