Nokia revealed its first Android-running smartphone, Nokia 6
When Microsoft acquired a large part of Nokia many of us were wondering whether the Finnish company will return to the smartphone business again. The Nokia tablets were accepted well by the users. The company decided to start the year with the big announcement of the new smartphone Nokia 6. It is the “fruit” of the cooperation between Nokia and the HMD Global Oy. Not long ago the companies unveiled that they are preparing a line of Android-powered Nokia smartphones that will debut in the first half of the year.
What does Nokia 6 has to offer? If comes in a solid body made of aluminum. The size of the display is 5.5-inch with 1080p resolution and 2.5D Gorilla Glass on top. The Snapdragon 430 chip is the source of the “inner power” of the handset. There are 4GB RAM in the Nokia 6 and 64GB storage by default. The smartphone is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat. The back camera of the new device is a 16MP sensor with phase detection autofocus and f/2.0 aperture. On the front side is located an 8MP camera for selfies and video chats. The connectivity features supported by the new Nokia include 4G LTE.
Nokia 6 will hit the shelves of the retailers in the first months of 2017. The first country where the phone will be released is China, through the JD.com merchant exclusively. It is still unknown whether the model will be officially introduced to more markets across the globe. We will wait and see. The price of the flagship is CNY 1699 (around $246).
