Apple has banned the selfie sticks at WWDC 2015

WWDC 2015 of Apple is already scheduled for 8th of June this year. The abundance of expectations about the event includes the announcement of the new update of the platform, more details about the rumored full-sized tablet etc. One of the interesting facts from the organizing of the event is the ban over the usage of selfie sticks.

Attendants at the event will not be allowed to use the popular tool for selfies or similar gadgets within the Yerba Buena Gardens or the Moscone West during the days of the event. You can find more details about the ban in the new WWDC General Instructions webpage. The WWDC is one of the most important and eagerly anticipated events in the tech world in the last years. It makes sense that developers and journalists who attend the conference would love to take a selfie as a momentum of the event.

However the selfie sticks used at crowded conferences are among the most annoying things that often decrease the pleasant experience at the event. Therefore if you want to take a snap at WWDC you will have to do it the old fashioned way and just use your smartphone. Keep in mind that Apple is not allowing any serious photography equipment at the conference. Just enjoy your time and make the most of it if you are among the lucky developers who will participate.
