Samsung Galaxy A8 appeared in a few leaks recently
The extraordinary line of smartphones Samsung Galaxy A will be expanded with a new member according to recent rumors – Samsung Galaxy A8. This spring at MWC 2015 in Barcelona a leak confirmed that the Korean manufacturer is almost ready to add more smartphones to the Galaxy A line.
The model number of the Galaxy A8 is SM-A800. It is the upgrade of the currently available Samsung Galaxy A7 that was launched in the end of 2014. A recent leak from GFXBench listing sheds more light on the specs and the capabilities of the smartphone. The most interesting part of the leak is the mentioned size of the display – 5.5-inch which diverse from the information from earlier rumors for 5.7-inch glass. The resolution of the display is 1080p. According to the latest gossips the Samsung Galaxy A8 sports a slick panel which is 5.9mm thick. The screen is Super AMOLED.
On the inside the handset works with Qualcomm Snapdragon 615chip ticking at 1.4GHz according to the leak. The provided RAM is 2GB and the native memory is 16GB. Rumors have it that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A8 boasts a fingerprint sensor. The device is LTE-enabled. It is running on Android 5.0 Lollipop with TouchWiz UX on top. The battery of Galaxy A8 is a 3050mAh cell. There is still no information about the announcement of the model, but there is no doubt that it is happening sooner than later. Stay tuned.
