Four new tablets Asus ZenPad debut officially

Asus added four new models to its growing line of tablets Asus ZenPad at Computex Taipei. They come in three sizes – with 7-inches diagonal, 8-inch and 10-inch. All of the tablets run on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. Each of the models comes in two variants – Wi-Fi-only and LTE/3G-enabled.

The full-size slate of the group is the Asus ZenPad 10.1. The name of the device reveals that it sports a 10.1-inch screen. The resolution of the model is 800 x 1280p. Underneath the tablet is powered by quad-core silicon with Intel Atom chip paired with 1GB RAM. There are three options for storage – 8GB, 16GB and 32GB by default. The ZenPad 10.1 has two cameras – 2MP snapper on the rear side and a 0.3MP shooter on front. It supports an optional keyboard as an accessory.

The two 8-inchers are named Asus ZenPad 8.0 and Asus ZenPad S 8.0. The latter sports higher-end specs, therefore we will start with it. The ZenPad S 8.0 boasts a resolution of the screen of 1536 x 2048p with 4:3 aspect ratio. It is powered by a quad-core CPU with Intel Atom 3580 Moorefield chip and the impressive amount of 4GB RAM. The native memory on board is one of the three options – 16GB, 32GB and 64GB with the presence of microSD slot for expansion. The main camera on the back of the device is with 8MP. The secondary camera is with 5MP and lies on front. There is a reversible USB Type-C port charger as part of the package. There is a Z Stylus as an optional accessory.

Asus ZenPad 8.0 is the lower-end 8-incher that also has a lot to offer to its users. One of the key features of the slate is its user-replaceable back cover. Asus offers a wide choice of backplates Zen Case, Zen Clutch, Power Case, Audio Cover etc. The resolution of the screen of the tablet is 800 x 1280p. It works with a quad-core CPU with Intel Atom chip and two options for storage and RAM – 8GB/16GB and 1GB/2GB RAM. The model supports microSD cards. It has a 5MP camera on the back side and a 2MP front-facing camera.

Asus ZenPad 7.0 is the most modest tablet from the group. It is outfitted with a 7-inch glass with a resolution of 1024 x 600p. The processor that is ticking under the hood is with four-cores and Intel Atom chip. The model provides 1GB RAM and wither 8GB or 16GB of storage. The slot for microSD cards enables options for easy expansion. The ZenPad 7.0 arrives with a 2MP main snapper on the back and a 0.3MP camera for video calls.
