The entry-level smartphone Microsoft Lumia 550 is landing on markets across the US and Europe
The compact mid-ranger Microsoft Lumia 550 is officially released in the US and in countries in Europe. One of the main advantages of the model is its platform – Windows 10 pre-installed. The budget smartphone is outfitted with a 4.7-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 720 pixels. The dimensions of the Lumia 550 are 136.1 x 67.8 x 9.9mm. The processor provided in the phone is with Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chip and 1GB RAM. It has 8GB of native memory on board with a slot for microSD cards. The Lumia 550 runs on Microsoft Windows 10 OS.
The main camera of the smartphone is on its back with a resolution 5MP and a LED flash. The secondary camera has 2MP resolution and lies on the front panel for video calls. The entry-level device is powered by a 2100mAh battery. Even though it is a budget device, the Lumia 550 supports 4G LTE connectivity along with Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G and Bluetooth. The backplate of the smartphone is removable. Microsoft announced the handset back in October. Few weeks later the smartphone is getting launched in the US and Europe. It costs $139 in the States and €139 in Germany. The retailers in the UK are selling it for £89.99. Microsoft Lumia 550 is coming in white and black.
