Three low-end smartphones enter the mobile arena – Microsoft Lumia 435, Lumia 435 Dual SIM and Lumia 532
Microsoft presented three new budget smartphones with low-end hardware and Windows Phone 8.1 OS running on them. Say Hello to the newest members of the Lumia series – Microsoft Lumia 435, Lumia 435 Dual SIM and Lumia 532.
Lumia 435 and Lumia 435 Dual SIM are among the most affordable handsets powered by the Microsoft’s platform on the market at retail price of €70. They are identical in terms of design, dimensions, hardware and software. The difference between the entry-level models is the support for single SIM in Lumia 435 and dual-SIM by its sibling. The size of the LCD screen is 4-inch at diagonal. It boasts a resolution of 800 x 480p. The models run on Windows Phone 8.1 Denim update. Hardware-wise the Microsoft Lumia 435 features a dual-core silicon with Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chip coupled with 1GB RAM. There is a slot for microSD cards in the gut of the phone. It comes handy for those who want to expand the 8GB storage by default in Lumia 435. The primary camera of the models is the least impressive feature (some might even call it disappointing) – a 2MP rear snapper with fixed-focus. There is a VGA camera on front. The battery that powers the Microsoft Lumia 435 is with 1560mAh. The phones support Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and 3G. The colors available for the newly announced smartphones are orange, white, and black, green. The phones are coming to the markets in February. They will be released in India, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the Asia Pacific.
Microsoft Lumia 532 is the third new addition to the Lumia series. It sports a 4-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800p. It works with a quad-core processor set at 1.2GHz and 1GB RAM. The phone has 8GB native memory and a microSD slot for expansion. In addition users of Lumia 532 receive 30GB OneDrive cloud space. Just like its siblings, the Lumia 532 works on Windows Phone 8.1 Denim. In terms of camera the phone has better capabilities than the Lumia 435. It is equipped with a 5MP primary camera and a VGA snapper on front. The battery of the device is with a capacity of 1560mAh. The model will go for sells in February. It will be available for purchase in developing markets. The price of the Lumia 535 is €79. The phone will be released in two variants – with single SIM and dual-SIM.
