Micromox Canvas Nitro 2 is officially launched in India
Micromax has just unveiled a new mid-ranger in India. Micromox Canvas Nitro 2 is the new generation of the Micromax Canvas series. It is the successor of Canvas Nitro A311 that was announced in the end of last year. The new device is an affordable Android-powered smartphone.
Canvas Nitro 2 is provided with a 5-inch HD IPS screen, 720p resolution. On the inside the new smartphone is packed with octa-core CPU 1.4GHz with MediaTek chip and 2 GB RAM. Storage-wise, the model brings 16GB by default and the possibility for expansion thanks to the integrated slot for microSD cards. The main camera of the Canvas Nitro 2 is with 13MP and stands on the back with LED flash. On the front panel is outfitted a 5MP snapper for selfies and video calls.
One of the disadvantages of the device is the operating system working on it – Android 4.4.2 KitKat. It supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G. The device has dual-SIM capabilities. It works with a 2400mAh battery. Micromax Canvas Nitro 2 is offered for sells by online retailer Infibeam in India. It costs INR 10990 (around $173) without commitment. It comes at lower price than its predecessor, but boasts more advanced specs. The new addition of Micromax has a bunch of rivals to compete with, like Motorola Moto G (2014), Asus Zenfone 2 ZE550ML and Xiaomi Mi 4i released in the country.
