The new impressive mid-ranger, Micromax Canvas 5 is announced

The India-located manufacturer Micromax introduced a new mid-ranger with an elegant design and decent specs. The device is named Micromax Canvas 5. It is the successor of the Micromax Canvas 4. The new handset is endowed with an impressive package of specs. It is outfitted with a 5.2-inch IPS display with 2.5D curved glass and 1080p resolution. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is provided for extra protection.

On the inside the new smartphone works with octa-core processor with MediaTek MT6753 ticking at 1.3GHz. The hardware configuration includes also Mali T720 GPU and 3GB RAM which is impressive for a budget device. Micromax Canvas 5 arrives with 16GB internal memory. Thanks to the integrated slot for microSD cards, the smartphone can be packed with additional storage.

The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box. Camera-wise, the model stands-out with a 13MP sensor on the rear side. The front-facing camera is with a 5MP resolution. Both cameras are equipped with LED-flashes. The smartphone is a dual-SIM device. Micromax Canvas 5 works with a 2900mAh battery. The new handset supports 4G LTE connectivity. The price of the Canvas 5 is INR 11999 ($183) unlocked. It is up-for-sells in Tab Brown and Space Gray colors.
