Meizu PRO 6 is officially unveiled
Last fall the Chinese OEM, Meizu revealed the flagship Meizu PRO 5. This spring the company is launching the successor of the PRO 5, the Meizu PRO 6. Is it an impressive device like its predecessor? You bet, it is! The PRO 6 comes in a smaller size at 5.2-inch display type Super AMOLED. It boasts a resolution of 1080p. One of the advantages of the Meizu PRO 6 is the 3D Press tech which is similar to the 3D Touch of Apple. On the top of the display is lying curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection.
Hardware-wise, the new flagship is powered by MediaTek Helio X25 with 10 cores. The graphics are handled by the Mali-T880 GPU. In terms of RAM, the PRO 6 arrives with 4GB on board. The included storage in the device is in two options – 32GB or 64GB with support for microSD cards.
The OS pre-installed on the new high-end smartphone of Meizu is Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. The rear sensor of the flagship is with 21.1MP resolution with 10-LED dual-tone flash and 1/2.4-inch aperture. It is provided with laser autofocus and phase-detection. The secondary camera is with much more modest capabilities – a 5MP sensor on the front panel. The cell that is equipped with the Meizu PRO 6 is a 2560mAh battery.
The launch date of the smartphone is scheduled on 23rd of April for CNY 2500 (around $385) for the 32GB model, and CNY 2800 (around $430) for the 64GB device. It comes in silver, gray and gold colors.
