Meizu MX4 Pro is officially introduced at a special event in China
The new flagship of the Chinese manufacturer Meizu enters the mobile arena of the most advanced smartphones on the market. The Meizu MX4 Pro was spotted in a few leaks in the last weeks that revealed a bit of the mystery about the specs and the build of the new high-end handset. It boasts a 5.5-inch display made by Sharp with a resolution of 1536 x 2560p and pixel density of 542ppi. The appealing design of the model features ultra-thin side bezels.
The platform that is pre-installed on MX4 Pro is Flyme 4.0 which is the custom interface of Meizu running over Android 4.4 KitKat. The new flagship works with a powerful processor with octa cores (quad-core Cortex-A15 set at 2.0GHz and quad-core Cortex-A7 clocked at 1.5GHz) with Exynos 5430 chip courtesy by Samsung. The high-end smartphone is armored with Mali-T628 MP6 GPU and 3GB RAM in the configuration. Customers can buy the Meizu MX4 Pro with 16 GB, 32GB or 64GB native memory. The main camera of the device is the extraordinary IMX220 Exmor RS sensor made by Sony with 20.7MP resolution and dual LED flash. The front-facing camera is also impressive with 5MP and aperture f/2.2 equipped with OmniVision OV5693 sensor.
In the home button of the flagship is integrated a fingerprint sensor working with the advanced tech mTouch. The sensor is framed by a stainless metal ring and it is covered with Sapphire glass. The connectivity possibilities of the Meizu MX4 Pro include Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS, FDD-LTE and TD-LTE. Under the hood is provided a 3350mAh battery that gives juice to the phone. The launch date for the MX4 Pro is 6th of December. It is getting released in its home country, China for CNY 2499 (around $410). Later on the smartphone will be introduced to more markets.
