Meizu metal is officially released, an affordable impressive handset
The China-based OEM Meizu presented its new impressive affordable handset, Meizu metal. As its name reveals the smartphone fascinates with a metal panel and a slick design. It is outfitted with a 5.5-inch LTPS screen with a 2.5D curved Dinorex T2X-1 glass. It makes the display shock and scratch resistant. Hardware-wise the smartphone is outfitted with an octa-core processor with MediaTek Helio X10 chip and 2B RAM on board.
It features either 16GB or 32GB of storage. A slot for microSD cards is provided for expansion. In terms of software the Meizu metal runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with Flyme 5.1 UI. The handset is armed with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the Home key on the front panel. The duo of cameras includes a 13MP rear sensor, f/2.2 with dual-tone dual-LED flash and other features. The front-facing camera has a resolution of 5MP.
Meizu metal works with a 3140mAh battery in its gut. The connectivity capabilities of the model include support for 4G LTE along with Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G and Bluetooth. The color options for the smartphone are gold, pink, white, gray and blue. It is getting launched in China for CNY 1099 for the 16GB model (around €150) retail price. The variant of the Meizu metal with 32GB storage costs CNY 1299 (€180). The smartphone is available for pre-orders on markets outside of its home country for $199 for the 16GB variant, off-contract.
