The 5.5-inch mid-ranger Meizu M5 Note lands on the markets in China
Meizu officially unveiled one of the coolest smartphones in its collection, the Meizu M5 Note. The handset sports a 5.5-inch slightly curved display, 1080p resolution with 2.5D glass. The hardware tucked in the gut of the device includes a MediaTek Helio P10 chip with either 3GB or 4GB RAM. The storage comes in three options – 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of expandable memory. The provided slot for microSD cards enables an easy expansion with up to 128GB of memory via SD cards.
The platform pre-installed on the Meizu M5 Note is Android 6.0 Marshmallow as a base with Flyme OS 6.0 running on top of it. The mid-ranger features a 13MP back camera with f/2.2 aperture and the capability to record 1080p video. The front-facing camera is with a 5MP sensor for selfies and video chats. One of the impressive features of the device is the large battery with a capacity of 4000mAh. On the front panel of the M5 Note lies a fingerprint sensor. The phone supports the usual connectivity features, 4G VoLTE included.
Meizu is releasing the smartphone in four colors – silver, champagne gold, blue and gray. The model is already up-for-sell for CNY 899 ($130) 16GB/3GB, CNY 999 ($144) 32GB/3GB, and CNY 1499 ($217) for the 64GB/4GB model. The M5 Note is already released in China. We will wait and see if Meizu decides to take it outside the country.
