Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablets are getting released in the States on May 1
Early this month we shared the news that one of the latest couple of tablets of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A series is ready to land on the markets in Germany in May. Another market where Samsung is releasing the models is the US. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 and its larger sibling Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 are getting launched on May 1st.
Pre-orders in the online store of the company are beginning in the end of April. The price of the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is $229.99. The bigger slate Galaxy Tab A 9.7 will carry the price tag of $299.99. Samsung will offer the tablets in Smoky Blue, White and Smoky Titanium. The company is releasing a special edition of the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 Smoky Titanium in a package with an S Pen Stylus for $349.99. The deal kicks-in on May 17th.
Samsung introduced the two new tablets in Russia in March this year. They sport different sizes of the displays, however the resolution is the same for both models – 768 x 1024p. They are powered by a CPU with four cores clocked at 1.2GHz with 1.5GB RAM. The software pre-installed on the slates is Android 5.0 Lollipop. The new tablets boast a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing shooter.
The batteries of both models are with different capacities. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is outfitted with a 4200mAh cell. The bigger tablet Galaxy Tab A 9.7 is provided with a 6000mAh.
