The India-based OEM presented Micromax Canvas Knight 2 with 4G LTE on board
The India-based OEM Micromax is one of the major players on the arena of mid-rangers, especially in its home-country, India. The manufacturer has the tradition to release affordable smartphones with decent specs. One of the features that most of the handsets of Micromax are missing was support for 4G LTE connectivity. Therefore, the arrival of the Micromax Canvas Knight 2 is really great news for the fans of Micromax’s handsets. It is the company’s first smartphone that supports the fast internet connectivity 4G LTE. The model is the successor of the original Micromax Canvas Knight.
The new smartphone sports extraordinary design with the front and the back panels made from glass and a metal frame around the sides. Micromax Canvas Knight 2 sports a 5-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 720p, protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. In the gut of the new device is integrated octa-core CPU with Snapdragon 615 chip and 2GB RAM. It supports microSD cards for storage. Android 5.0 Lollipop is running on the smartphone out-of-the-box. Some of the apps that are pre-installed on the device are: Apps Center, Hotstar, Chaatz, Cleanmaster, Snapdeal, Quickr etc.
The two cameras equipped in the mid-ranger are: 13MP primary shooter with Sony IMX214 CMOS sensor and 5-element lens, and the secondary camera which lies on the front panel with 5MP resolution and OmniVision OV5648 sensor and 4-element lens. The primary snapper has LED flash and autofocus. The connectivity capabilities are the main advantage of the new smartphone of Micromax. It supports Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, Bluetooth and as we mentioned above – 4G LTE. It is powered by a 2260mAh cell. It supports dual-SIM.
