LG presents its newest extraordinary high-end phablet, the LG V20
Less than a year ago LG launched the LG V series of premium devices with the first addition LG V10. There is a lot to say about this high-end phablet. The large-sized smartphone packs a secondary small screen above the main one. The additional display is purposed to display notifications and features the always on option. The Korean OEM now presents the new generation phablet of this line dubbed the LG V20.
In terms of appearance, the new phone borrows the design of its older sibling. Just like the original device, the V20 is outfitted with rugged panel with MIL-STD-810 certification that makes it shock resistant. The body of the new flagship is made of aluminum allow AL6013. This is the same material that companies use for building boats and airplanes. It packs a 5.7-inch display (the main one) with Quad HD resolution. The additional screen is slightly longer than the LG V10. It supports 24 digits which makes it possible to display the clock and the icon for the notifications simultaneously.
OS and Processor
LG V20 is endowed with powerful hardware including Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4GB RAM. It has 64GB internal memory that is expandable. The OS pre-installed on the model is the newest update of the Google’s platform, the Android 7.0 Nougat.
Camera and Audio
One of the exceptional features of LG V10 is its cameras setup. Basically the phone boasts a duo rear camera. The V20 also arrives equipped with the duo cameras. It consists of a 16MP sensor with OIS, phase detection and laser autofocus, and an additional sensor with 8MP resolution and 135-degree shots. Needless to say the phablet captures amazing photos in depth. Another interesting thing about the V20 is the Steady Record 2.0 system for video recording with EIS video stabilization courtesy of Qualcomm. On the front panel lies a 5MP camera for selfies and video calls.
LG V20 is a true flagship that stands out with its audio capabilities. It has four DACs with 75-step fine volume and L/R balance control. In the package with the V20 users will find B&O Play headphones. The battery packed in the gut of the phablet is a 3200mAh with a cable of QuickCharge 3.0.
The colors Silver, Pink and Titan look amazing on the LG V20. It is getting launched in the US but an exact date hasn’t been pointed yet. To be continued…
