Two new smartphones – Lenovo Vibe shot and A7000 debut at MWC 2015 in Barcelona
Lenovo is showcasing five new devices at MWC 2015. Two smartphones, two Android-powered tablets and one Windows-running slate debuted at the event. Lenovo Vibe Shot and Lenovo A7000 are the new handsets of the company.
The more impressive device of both is the camera-phone Lenovo Vibe Shot. The exterior of the smartphone resembles point-and-shoot cameras. It stands-out with a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080p. It is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass for extra toughness on the backplate and the face side. The CPU equipped in the device is a octa-core with 64-bit and Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset. It brings 32GB internal memory and a microSD slot. The RAM in Lenovo Vibe Shot is 3GB. Android 5.0 Lollipop operates on the handset.
It features a 16MP camera on the back with OIS, six-piece modular lens, tricolor flash and 16:9 low-light sensor. Among the advantages of the primary camera are also the Smart presets and Pro mode with advanced capabilities. On the face side is equipped an 8MP sensor. The new smartphone works with 2900mAh battery. It supports LTE connectivity amongst other features. The Vibe Shot will hit the markets in June for $349. It will be offered in Graphite Grey, Crimson and Pearl White shells.
Lenovo A7000 is a mid-ranger armed with Dolby Atmos sound tech. It delivers more vivid sound when it is used with headphones. The new handset sports 5.5-inch 720p screen. It is powered by a octa-core silicon clocked at 1.5GHz. MediaTek MT6752 is the chipset in the configuration. It is coupled with 2GB RAM. The assured storage by default in the device is very modest – just 8GB. Users have the option to expand it.
The platform pre-installed on A7000 is Android 5.0 Lollipop. It has two cameras on board – an 8MP rear sensor and a 5MP front-facing shooter. Lenovo A7000 is scheduled for launching this month at price of $169.
