If you like the rugged and durable smartphones packed with more than a few features, you’ll be happy to know that Kyocera has a new phone for you. The mobile users in Japan are the first to have the chance to buy the Kyocera rafre.
What’s so special about the handset? Well, believe it or not, you can wash the smartphone with water and soap without any risk of damaging it. With other words – the Kyocera rafre has the potential to be the cleanest phone even for the users who are in a hurry. All you have to do is use some water and soap and wash the new Kyocera. Even better – the rafre actually works while it’s still wet – you can use the touchscreen without any problem.
In terms of specs, the Kyocera rafre is a 5-incher with HD display. It is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat by default. The provided RAM is 2GB. The phone boasts 16GB of expandable storage. It has a 13MP camera on the back and a 5MP camera on the front side. The launching of the new water- and soap-resistant smartphone is happening next month, in March by the local mobile operator KDDI. There are at least two more special features of the Kyocera rafre that are worth mentioning.
The first of them is the cooking app included in the device. It operates with hand gestures for easy managing of the screen even with dirty hands. The second feature is the Smart Sonic Receiver. It replaces the ordinary earpiece. The new tech has the capability to send vibrations to the eardrum through the display of the phone. How awesome is that? The price of the rafre is yet to be revealed. Stay tuned.
