T-Mobile has a new smartphone for users that are looking for a capable rugged device that is able to survive more than one or two hits and scratches. Say Hello to the Kyocera Hydro WAVE. The panel of the handset is certified with IPX5 and IPX7. This means that the device will be able to take a dip in 1 meter deep water for up to 30 minutes. It is dust-proof and Military Standard 810G certified which means extra protection against shock and drops. The rugged Kyocera Hydro WAVE is armed with a 5-inch LCD screen with qHD resolution.
In the gut of the model is integrated a processor with four cores clocked at 1.2GHz and 1GB RAM. The smartphone provides the modest 8GB storage by default. Hydro WAVE supports the usage of microSD cards that makes the expansion of the memory beyond easy. The cameras are not among the strongest features of the smartphone. It arrives with a 5MP snapper on the back and a 2MP camera on the face panel.
