Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3C, OneTouch Pop Star and OneTouch Pop Up are officially unveiled
The Alcatel OneTouch Idol series was expanded with a new smartphone – Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3C. The company added two new handsets to the OneTouch Pop line – the Alcatel OneTouch Pop Star and the Alcatel OneTouch Pop Up.
Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3C sports similar specs and design as the 5.5-inch OneTouch Idol 3 that currently on the market. The new smartphone boasts removable backplates that come in a wide variety of colors. OneTouch Idol 3C fascinates with its own unique characteristics. For example, its bottom and upper sides are symmetrical. Some tweaks in the UI support upside down calls and upside down view. From a front point of view, it doesn’t matter whether you are using the smartphone upside down or in the boring regular way.
Specs-wise the OneTouch Idol 3C is armed with a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen with Technicolor Color Enhance tech. The resolution of the screen is 1080p. In the gut of the handset is tucked an octa-core CPU set at 1.5GHz with 64-bit and Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip. It is coupled with 2GB RAM. The internal memory provided in the model is 16GB (expandable). Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3C runs on Android Lollipop. It has a 13MP primary snapper on the back with F2.0 and a 8MP sensor on front. The model is powered by a 2910mAh battery. It supports 4G LTE connectivity. The launching and the costs for the smartphone will be announced soon.
The new duo of the OneTouch Pop line boasts interchangeable backs. The Alcatel OneTouch Pop Star is a 5-incher, 720p. There will be two variants of the mid-ranger – a 3G-enabled and 4G-enabled. Both of them are running on Android Lollipop. They are outfitted with 1GB RAM and 2000mAh battery. The cameras integrated in the devices are: a 8MP main camera and a 5MP camera on the face panel. The processor that powers the 3G model is a quad-core 1.3GHz with MediaTek MT6580 chip. The device has 8GB of expandable memory. The 4G-enabled smartphone works with a quad-core 64-bit CPU set at 1GHz with MediaTek MT6735P chipset. It features 16GB storage (expandable).
Alcatel OneTouch Pop Up also made its official debut at IFA 2015. It comes with a 5-inch glass with a resolution of 720p. The processor provided in OneTouch Pop Up is with eight cores clocked at 1.4GHz with Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 chip. There are 2GB RAM on board and 16GB native memory. Users can expand it via microSD cards. The main camera of the smartphone is a 13MP rear sensor with F2.0 aperture paired with a 5MP snapper for selfies. It works with a 2000mAh battery under the hood. The software running on OneTouch Pop Up is Android Lollipop. The smartphone will be up-for-grabs in Riva Blue, Black, White, Strawberry Red and Amber Orange colors.
Remains to be seen when the new smartphones will be released. All of them have dual-SIM capabilities.
