Three new Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 slates were announced at IFA 2015

Lenovo brought more than a few devices at IFA 2015. Three new tablets designed for entertainment arrived at the exhibition. Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 8-inch, Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 10-inch and the most high-end slate of the trio, Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro. Why is the line named “Yoga?” The answer is in the signature design for this series of tablets – they boast a foldable stand and the hanger hole that enable positioning the tablet in different ways. The first two tablets from the trio sport similar specs and features.

Both Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 8-inch and Lenovo Tab 3 10-inch boast a resolution of 800 x 1280p. The names reveal the screen sizes – 8-inches and 10-inches respectively. The model processor provided in the slates is with four cores clocked at 1.3GHz with Qualcom Snapdragon 210 chip and 1GB of RAM. The storage included in each device is 16GB. If you need to expand it, the microSD slot for cards is there to help. Both models run on Android 5.1 Lollipop. There is a rotating camera armed in Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 8-inch and its 10-inch sibling is with 8MP resolution. On the front panel are provided front-facing speakers with Dolby Atmos. The 8-inch tablet works with a 6200mAh battery in its gut while and 10-incher is powered by a 8400mAh cell. The slates support optional 4G LTE and 3G connectivity.

Launching of Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 8-inch is scheduled for October 1st at a price of $169 off-commitment. The 10-inch slate will hit the markets on November 1st and it will cost $199.

The third new member of the Yoga Tab family is the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro. The slate sports a 10.1-inch display, 1600 x 2560p. The hardware configuration integrated in the device includes a quad-core CPU with Intel Atom chip x5-Z8500 ticking at 2.24GHz and 2GB RAM. It offers two options of storage – 16GB and 32GB. Both variants are with expandable storage via microSD cards. The software running on the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro is Android 5.1 Lollipop. The backplate of the tablet hosts a 13MP snapper while the secondary camera is a front-facing 5MP sensor. The battery of the high-end Yoga Tab 3 Pro is with the whopping 10200mAh. It supports optional 3G and LTE connectivity features. It will land on markets in November, just before the winter holidays. The price of the tablet is $499. It arrives with an integrated projector that has the capabilities to blast a screen up to 70 inches onto a flat surface.
