The high-end flagships Huawei P9 and P9 Plus are announced packed with dual 12MP camera sensors

Huawei finally unveiled the highly anticipated and rumored flagships, the Huawei P9 and the phablet Huawei P9 Plus. The big event was hold in London. Both new smartphones stand out with high-end specs, awesome designs and impressive primary cameras. Let’s start with the smaller-in-size model.

The Huawei P9 sports a beautiful design that reminds of the Apple iPhone 6s. The body of the P9 is made of metal. It is a 5.2-incher with IPS LCD glass with a resolution of 1080p. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on top. On the inside, the flagship wors with octa-core processor with Kirin 955 chipset. One of the variations of the P9 arrives with 3GB RAM included by default and 32GB storage. The slightly more advanced model sports 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory. Both devices support microSD cards. The software pre-installed on the flagship is Android 6.0 Marshmallow customized with Emotion UI 4.1.

The most impressive feature of the Huawei P9 is its main camera. It is a dual setup of Leica and includes two 12MP sensors. One of them can capture images in color while the second one captures only black and white. The final result is more details shots with reduced noise even when taking photos in low light. The camera has dual-LED flash, OIS and plenty of additional features for high-quality images.

The larger-in-size new flagship is Huawei P9 Plus. It has a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with 3D Touch-style and Press Touch tech. The processor and the software that power the phablet are the same that work on P9. In terms of RAM and storage, the large-sized phone boasts 4GB RAM paired with 64GB of native memory. The cameras of the P9 Plus are the same as the cameras of the smaller flagship. The batter of the phablet is a 3400mAh cell. One of the advantages of the Huawei P9 Plus before its sibling is the sterio speakers that can adjust automatically according to the position of the phone.

The launch date of the Huawei P9 is on April 16^th. It costs €599 for the 3GB/32GB model. The 4GB/64GB variant costs €649. The price of the P9 Plus is €749 and it will be available for purchase on May 20^th.
