HTC Vive VR headset is expected to be presented at CES 2016
It is not a secret that HTC is working on its first innovative VR headset that is expected to go official next year. The HTC Vive has just received its certification from FCC. This is a big step in the development process of the device that brings it closer to its announcement. Recently the CEO Cher Wang revealed that the company will present the HTC Vive at CES 2016 in Las Vegas. The event is one of the biggest exhibitions in the tech world. According to the company, we should expect to see “a very, very big technology breakthrough.” The device is listed under the model number 0PJT100 FCC ID NM80PJT100.
Along with the HTC Vive, the Base Station, the Vive Controller and the Link Box got their certification from FCC. The VR headset is a product from the cooperation between HTC and Valve. The device is getting developed to be a rival of the VR headset Oculus Rift. The HTC Vive was expected to go official earlier this year. However the debut of the headset was delayed because of the breakthrough technology that the company will present at CES 2016. The launching of the device is scheduled for April 2016.
