HTC took the wraps off the HTC Butterfly 3
Today is the day when Google is hosting the event for the announcement of the next Nexus smartphones. While we are waiting for the debut of the devices another bog manufacturer surprised its users with new announcements. HTC unveiled the HTC Butterfly 3 and the improved variant of the flagship HTC One M9+ with an enriched camera. The Butterfly 3 actually is the same smartphone released earlier this year in Japan with the name HTC J Butterfly. The new device is the international version of the model. It is outfitted with a stylish case that is water and dust resistant with IP57 certificate.
The screen of Butterfly 3 is LCD with a 5.2-inch diagonal and QHD resolution. The handset is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip, octa-core processor in a configuration with 3GB RAM. The storage included in the smartphone is 32GB by default. Users have the option to add more memory by using microSD cards. The pre-installed mobile operating system on the handset is Android 5.0 Lollipop customized with Sense 7 UI.
The duo of cameras integrated in HTC Butterfly 3 is impressive. It comes with a 20.2MP rear sensor with a Duo setup that enables post-shot autofocusing, Sapphire lenses crystal-protected f/2.2 27.8mm-equivalent, dual tone dual-LED flash and etc. The front-facing camera is also intriguing with 13MP resolution, f/2.0 aperture and 28.2mm equivalent. The battery of the smartphone is a 2700mAh cell. The connectivity capabilities of the device include support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G and 4G LTE. The HTC Butterfly 3 has BoomSound audio tech. It is getting launched on October 20th at a price of $600 (TWD 19900) unlocked. There will be three color versions of the model – red, white and blue.
