Google I/O 2015 is beginning in just few hours from now. The rumors, speculations and predictions about the announcements that Google will make in the next few days have been keeping the attention of users for weeks. The developers’ conference of the mobile giant begins on May 28th at 9:30am PDT. Even though Google is doing its best to keep the mystery around the upcoming events that will happen at the conference, the leaks and the gossips gave us some idea of what to expect from Google I/O 2015.

First, the expectations suggest that Google will announce a new update of its mobile platform Android. It is known as Android M and we know that the mobile giant has a thing for the sweets; therefore the name of the update should mean a delicious candy. What are your suggestions for sweets starting with “M”? Rumors have it that Android M will bring support for fingerprint scanners to the platform. The update is expected to get released later this summer.

This year the next generation Nexus smartphone will go official in the last months. Latest rumors on this topic make the hint that Huawei is the company that is teaming up with Google for this project. There are gossips that the mobile giant might release not one but two new Nexus flagships. Hopefully we will hear more about the plans of Google at the event.

The Project ARA is still a work in progress. It is the unique module phone platform that is promising unique user experience. Hopes are up that the company will reveal more details during the conference.

Some of the upcoming devices that are getting ready to steal the spotlight of Google I/O include a new fitness tracker Fit Clip, the next generation Google Glass and the Chromecast 2.

The wearable platform Android Wear should be included in the event as well. Rumors have it that Google might bring iOS compatibility to it.
